Course Description

This hands-on workshop will explore the use of Microsoft Excel for advanced data visualization to explore properties, patterns, and relationships in numerical-numerical, numerical-categorical, and categorical-categorical data, and multivariate and time-series data. Participants will also learn practical methods for data normalization, orthogonalization, and perspective; choosing appropriate and effective visualization methods for data analysis; how to avoid misleading or overly-complex visualizations; dynamic visualizations; and the use of a wide variety of Excel visualization capabilities.
