Through gross anatomy laboratory demonstrations, clinical skills laboratories, computerized manikin simulations and standardized patient interactions, students will learn how to:
- describe the epidemiology, signs and symptoms, pathophysiology, diagnosis, and treatment of illnesses common in Hawai`i;
- perform basic clinical skills such as measuring vital signs and listening to the heart and lungs with stethoscopes; and
- interview and counsel patients.
