Course Description

The Intermediate courses are for students who want to continue their study of the Japanese language, to expand their knowledge and skills with the focus on speaking skills. Students will learn more elaborate sentence structures and expressions and will be exposed to the different speech styles that native Japanese speakers use. In addition to formal language instruction, classes include some Japanese culture study and conversation practice with native Japanese speakers on different topics. Intermediate 2 introduces routine forms of speech and their usages. Japanese for Busy People, Volume II will be used.

Notes

You must be at least 18 years old on the first day of instruction in order to enroll in this course.

 

Prerequisites

Basic knowledge in Japanese orthography is recommended. Some basic Kanji will be introduced.
